Member of the Elks hands a dictionary to a student

Thanks to the Canajoharie-Fort Plain Elks Lodge #2621, every fourth-grader at ODY received their own brand-new, kid-friendly dictionary to help them become better writers and active readers.

Each year, Elks Club members visit ODY to present the reference books to elementary students as part of the Dictionary Project, one of the organization’s many volunteer efforts.

We appreciate this annual gift from the Elks that helps our students build literacy skills and supports lifelong learning.
